Everyday consumers are faced with complex decisions about products and services, this could be for consumer electronics, cars or even travel. We aim to make these decisions simple - empowering the consumer to make informed decisions. We believe that our solution can help change the world. We are currently in the process of raising a seed investment round to expand our close-knit team of five with a couple of back-end developers and a front-end designer and launch our product by October 2012.

  • Anthony Monica

    Entrepreneur, CEO

    Anthony has a profound passion for both technology and as an entrepreneur. His enthusiasm started predominantly within technology, where he contributed to the UK’s leading technology magazine before working as an IT Support Analyst at the UK’s leading executive search firm, ‘Odgers Berndtson’. It was here that the idea for Swogo arose. Previously to Swogo, Anthony has worked in two start-up companies, ‘Seedrs’ and ‘Student Money Saver’. He has also had previous experience working as an intern for the venture capital firm ‘DFJ Esprit’, focusing particularly in the ‘Consumer Internet’ field. Anthony is the co-founder of digital marketing firm, 'createAI'.

  • Dimitar Kazakov

    IT Manager, Developer, CTO

    Dimitar is responsible for the development and management of the Swogo website. Dimitar possesses a BSc and MSc in Computer Systems and Technology, as well as an MSc in Advanced Computer Science with ICT Management from Manchester University and the IBM Gold Mentoring program. His career began as a Student Consultant for ‘Microsoft’. Since then Dimitar has held numerous roles, including working as an IT Consultant for ‘Webpowered Limited’, a Software Development Consultant for the financial services company ‘Begbies Traynor Group’, and most recently as a Agile Process Manager at 'BetGenius'.

  • Ivor Stankov

    Marketer, CMO

    Ivor is responsible for heading up Swogo’s Marketing and PR efforts. Academically, Ivor has a degree in Media Communications and Culture with a concentration in Marketing and Creative Industries from the Hult International Business School. Ivor has previously been responsible for the online marketing strategy for recruitment company ‘Terra Firma Associates’, with a particular focus in social media. Furthermore, Ivor has worked for the online start-up ‘Student Money Saver’, where he was responsible for strategising and implementing their marketing strategy. Ivor is the co-founder of digital marketing firm, 'createAI'.

We’re always looking to hire smart and enthusiastic people. At present, we have two vacancies for our back-end developer position. As a back-end developer you will play a fundamental role in the future development and growth of our company. We firmly believe in open discussions and transparency, ensuring scope for your personal input in the growth of our company. In addition, you will be able to undertake a greater range of opportunities as the business develops, working alongside key members of our team to ensure your hard work is always noticed. This position requires a highly motivated and analytical person with sound knowledge of object-oriented software development, as well as acute business sense. We work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where timely delivery up to the expected quality is crucial. Previous experience is beneficial but is not required. Requirements

  • Technical Skills

    + HTML5, XML/Json
    + LAMP (PHP or Python or Ruby) MySQL
    + MVC Experience - Symfony or Django
    + Mobile Application Development would be a plus.

  • Additional Requirements

    + Fluent English
    + Permission to work in the UK
    + Excellent attention to detail

  • Compensation

    Free accommodation plus €1,000 - €1,500 per month depending on experience.
    Equity may also be offered.

The UX Designer will play a fundamental role in ensuring that Swogo maintains a reputation for being visually beautiful, providing fantastic user experience and for being simple to use. As we are a small startup company, there will be scope and flexibility for your role within our business - one day you could be creating user interface designs, the next you could be leading a team. This also means you will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, being able to undertake a greater range of opportunities as the business develops, and working alongside key team members to ensure your hard work is always noticed.
This position requires a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for beautiful design and fantastic user experience.

Requirements

  • Professional Skills

    + User Interface Design - Web and Mobile
    + User Experience - Ideally with expertise in user research methods such as brainstorming, cognitive walkthroughs, surveys and usability testing.
    + Expertise in design deliverables including interactive prototyping, wireframes, mockups etc.
    + HTML5, CSS, Javascript and jQuery would be a plus.

  • Additional Requirements

    + Fluent English
    + Permission to work in the UK
    + Excellent attention to detail
